- American Astronomical Society: The American Astronomical
Society (AAS), established 1899, is the major organization of
professional astronomers in North America. The basic
objective of the AAS is to promote the advancement of
astronomy and closely related branches of science.
- Center for Earth and Planetary Studies: The Center for Earth
and Planetary Studies (CEPS) is the scientific research unit
within the Collections and Research Department of the
Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum.
- International Astronomical Union: The International
Astronomical Union (IAU) was founded in 1919. Its mission is
to promote and safeguard the science of astronomy in all its
aspects through international cooperation. Its individual
members are professional astronomers all over the world, at
the Ph.D. level and beyond, and active in professional
research and education in astronomy.
- NASA: Website of the National Aeronautics and Space
Administration; who's mission is to pioneer the future in
space exploration, scientific discovery and aeronautics
research.
- The Nine Planets: Provides an overview of the history,
mythology, and current scientific knowledge of the planets,
moons and other objects in our solar system.
- SpaceDaily: Founded in Tokyo, Japan, this is an excellent
source for news about space exploration and technology.
- U.S. Naval Observatory: The U.S. Naval Observatory is one of
the oldest scientific agencies in the country. USNO is the
preeminent authority in the areas of Precise Time and
Astrometry, and distributes Earth Orientation parameters and
other Astronomical Data required for accurate naviagation
and fundamental astronomy.
